Re: 240 BR Rebuild
I have this same boat in the same color and same year! Bought it May 2016. Beautiful restoration. My compliments! How the he'll did you get the sea decking with the cobalt logo. They told me cobalt didn't allow It? . Mine is just plain.

Re: 240 BR Rebuild
BTW if you feel comfortable sharing....how much you have in your restoration? Bought mine for $27,500 with trailer. Curious as to how much money you saved!
We experienced the same flooding issues at Table Rock. I still have to be ferried to my slip. I think you'll really enjoy this boat. Unless you like to haul around 10+ people it has plenty of room and handles rougher water very well. Tons of storage as well.

Re: 240 BR Rebuild
Thanks big block. Did you check out the swing? It's pretty cool. We just bought a condo on Indian Point this year. Great location for us.
What parts and such did you use for the blue led lights ty? Curious if this is something I could add? I'm not very handy...lol...

Re: 240 BR Rebuild
Yea we found the swing and the cliffs to jump off and the water patrol having lunch at the floating cafe. We stayed at dooleys. Great people.we will be back. I was there three times before 25 years ago. It changed a bit.lol
Which lights. I got them all off of eBay. Just tapped into the courtesy lights. Easy.
I'm not sure where YT found his lights he will tell you. He found some one social on the seadek like material. He told me once but I'm old I forgot.

Re: 240 BR Rebuild
Welcome to the gang Table! You have a great looking boat!
At some point I'll sell this ole girl, so I don't want to put what I have in the total cost out there. Because of what I do for a living, I see value differently than most folks. When I found her, the original owner had a problem in wanting to sell quickly. He has lots of issues, but having too much money to burn isnt one of them. He needed to sell, and I was there ready to buy, so I got a killer bargain. So when it's time to sell, even though something is worth X, if a guy knows you paid Y, he doesn't want to pay Z, even though it may be well below X...
I had a very well known builder in our area do the motor and all the machine work and another guy do the R&R. There was more money in labor taking it out and putting it back than there was in the actual rebuild. And I got a 3 year warranty on the motor!
And then I don't really count my time for labor, because, well, if I wasn't having fun working on this project I would be having fun working on something else, if that makes sense?
The blue lights are blue LED strips under the cubbys. I need to put a switch in to turn off the bow when underway at night because I can't see. They run to the accessory switch on the console. The underwater LEDs on the transom are SeaBlaze. Pricey but oh-so-bright! The switch is under the rear seat by the pergo. They turn blue, white, blue and white on each side or the same time, or police light blinky. When underway the spray lights up both sides as well as under the water and it's really pretty cool.
On the rear deck I found a company that does the Seadek type material. Exactly the same stuff from what I have compared to on other boats, but about 2/3rds the price. They added the logo and wreath at no extra cost! They hadn't ever done it and wanted pictures...
I have a buddy with a house on Table Rock, and one of these days we're going to come up for a weekend. I'll have to look you up! Again, welcome to the forum, there's lots of info here. John, BB and Liquid are like Cobalt Guru's and can pretty much answer any questions. And BB is the resident Bloodhound. Just look around and you'll see what I'm talking about!

Re: 240 BR Rebuild
Yea no problem on the cost. Just curious as to how much more I paid!
I don't think it would be a good idea for me drills hole in my boat to install lighting. And I'm not good at electrical either. Probably best for me just save the money to have it added to my next 28 foot cobalt!
Let me know if you get down that way. I'll have a few beers for you if you let me inspect your project
