I knew what you were doing. I was just being sarcastic.
Yes the spring is tricky. Nothing a needle nose pliers can't get.

The hook on the retention spring was tricky.. didn't figure that out for about 5 minutes.
Can’t say I didn’t warn ya’.

Hi Okie, okielaker wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 9:37 pmNeither was burned out.. just thought for less than $10 for 2 bulbs, this was an upgradeBig Block Power wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 6:18 am Oke you mine as well do both sides now instead of waiting for the other to burn out.
(or preventave maintenance) worth doing. Yes, did both. Just wanted to see the
relative brightness difference, and that's when I took the pic.

What LED bulbs did you end up going with? I'd like to upgrade mine too. A pic of the package would be great! Thanks!

Samuri,
https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... 3284/6750/
MR16 LED Landscape Light Bulb - 1 COB LED Spotlight Bi-Pin Bulb - 60 Watt Equivalent - 685 Lumens Natural White
Don't worry about the "Landscape" description... if you look up the boat bulbs, you can find this one there, also, but when
you order, it defaults back to "Landscape Light Bulb".
You can find it listed as:
MR16 LED Boat and RV Light Bulb - 1 COB LED Spotlight Bi-Pin Bulb - 60 Watt Equivalent - 685 Lumens
on the same web-site.
This plugged right in where the old bulb came out.
They also had a 40-watt equivalent. I wanted brighter.
The bulbs were $8.95 each. Shipping was $4.49 (for both, not each).

Re: Replacing Burnt out Docking Light
Okie,
Thank you so much! Did these new lamps make a nice improvement in light output as compared to our OEM incandescent lamps?

Re: Replacing Burnt out Docking Light
Are you going to be boating at night? Change your bow light too. It gets really hot. Don't touch the housing after it's been on awhile.

BBP, did you change out the fixture, or just the bulb? If just the bulb, do you have the specifics on what you purchased?Big Block Power wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 9:19 pm Are you going to be boating at night? Change your bow light too. It gets really hot. Likewise, if the fixture, which one did you install?

Yep, I just did the same thing in my 262. Turned out great.
Except I sourced through super bright led.
