I knew what you were doing. I was just being sarcastic.
Yes the spring is tricky. Nothing a needle nose pliers can't get.

Neither was burned out.. just thought for less than $10 for 2 bulbs, this was an upgrade
(or preventave maintenance) worth doing. Yes, did both. Just wanted to see the
relative brightness difference, and that's when I took the pic.

Hi Okie,
What LED bulbs did you end up going with? I'd like to upgrade mine too. A pic of the package would be great! Thanks!

Samuri,

https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... 3284/6750/

MR16 LED Landscape Light Bulb - 1 COB LED Spotlight Bi-Pin Bulb - 60 Watt Equivalent - 685 Lumens Natural White

Don't worry about the "Landscape" description... if you look up the boat bulbs, you can find this one there, also, but when
you order, it defaults back to "Landscape Light Bulb".

You can find it listed as:
MR16 LED Boat and RV Light Bulb - 1 COB LED Spotlight Bi-Pin Bulb - 60 Watt Equivalent - 685 Lumens
on the same web-site.
This plugged right in where the old bulb came out.
They also had a 40-watt equivalent. I wanted brighter.
The bulbs were $8.95 each. Shipping was $4.49 (for both, not each).

Okie,
Thank you so much! Did these new lamps make a nice improvement in light output as compared to our OEM incandescent lamps?

Are you going to be boating at night? Change your bow light too. It gets really hot. Don't touch the housing after it's been on awhile.

BBP, did you change out the fixture, or just the bulb? If just the bulb, do you have the specifics on what you purchased?
Likewise, if the fixture, which one did you install?

OK, bulbs on order. I like these low-cost upgrades... there are certainly plenty of
not-low-cost upgrades. Thanks, BBP.

TG98, those interior lights are nice.. what are they?
