I could see making a lake thread that gets some traction a "sticky" for a certain region so it doesn't drift off the front page.
This makes more sense actually.

OK, I see the thought process and respect the opinion of those with more experience on this site.
Looks like I'm going to talk to more Cobalt owners at my marina and tell them about this site as a resource.
Downside: my wife always complains about me talking to strangers so much. She forgets all the great places to see, stay, or eat that I've found from talking to strangers.
Thanks for considering my idea.

Ha! Make a game of it Krob! Anytime my wife and I travel we always have a little side bet going on as to if or when well run across someone I know. She always says I could have a conversation with a stump if a stump could talk? Then she had to change it up to not just someone I recognize but someone that knows me from somewhere. It makes travel interesting sometimes!

Now go out and meet your new lake friends!

Stump is not a good word for me now.
Our lake is down and I was going around marking higher stumps on Garmin so we'd know where to avoid when water is high and they're just below surface. My wife really got made at me. LOL.
We have made lots of friends and connections from talking to people at restaurants, etc.
I'm a casino dealer, so I thrive on talking to strangers....she has to have a few adult beverages before she opens up.
When she's cleaning boat interior at the end of the day, I make some excuse to go to marina store/office. I end up talking to most people both ways.
I just love to talk to people about their boats.
