Lake Tahoe Cobalts

Post by sshipman »

Thought I'd set a topic for all of us owners in Lake Tahoe. Good place to swap stories, parts, pics, and fun places to go on the lake.

Welcome from your neighbor to the west.
We definitely need a captains report as it apears you did a Raylar system.

Everything ok with the boat after the big winds over the weekend? Looking forward to some nice weather on the weekends.

Hey CJ. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

Lake Tahoe boats are unique due to the outdrive gear ratios necessary at higher elevations for performance.

What model Cobalt are you desiring? Any prior boats in your past?

Again welcome aboard mate!

Thanks All, @aslan7 I'm looking for something in the 19-23' range and preferably under 15k, so I will need to find as good as I can in an older boat at that price. I have a place in Alpine meadows so looking for North lake.

Roger that CJ. Sounds like a ‘90’s to early 2000’s 19 or 22 footer with a V6 in that price range.

Taking delivery of my 2021 CS23 in June. In the meantime, how have people found West Coast Boat to work with? Where do you go for local service/maintenance on the North Shore?

I believe WC Boats took over the old San Ramon across from Sunnyside Marina. Assume they do service there…?

Greetings! Just took delivery of my 2021 CS23 (delivery delayed from Memorial Day to July 9). Only one day on the water so far as KB and TV ramps are closed due to water levels and Sand Harbor and the Coast Guard ramp fill up pretty early. Avoiding the weekend days. Hope to see you on the water!

Would appreciate any leads on a buoy available second half of this season or next. Thanks!
