Time to work on my hole shot

Been subscribed to this guy (Finnegan's garage) for awhile.
Cool how he gets his jet boat hole shot performance by revving the engine to 4,000 rpm (which is directly tied to the jet impeller) and diverting water to each side using a drop Y bucket diverter (neutral bucket) to stay in place on the water. It's kind of like a trans brake (although there's no transmission) for jet boats. Then he flips a switch and the neutral bucket lifts rocketing him forward. Skip to the 6:40 mark if you want to bypass his explanation and just see him in action.
