Not afraid to take anything apart......with the exception of electrical. My brother-in-law is an electrical engineer. I call him over when the voltage is >12v.

I like understanding exactly how things work. Helps me troubleshoot when things go wrong. I've learned a lot researching this issue. Also, good to tap into the brain trust here at the forum.

I find this thread electrifying. ;)

So has anyone actually installed the Blue Sea add a battery with ACR? If so, did you do it yourself ? I ask because e Driller talked me into adding a second battery and soon, once I acquire some extra time, I’ll be installing this setup along with a pro Mariner dual bank charger/maintainer. Also, any advice for this setup on is it better to connect the 2 negatives of eac battery with a jumper or connect them at the negative bus bar?

I have not. Great concept though with the regulator if you don't want to deal with "switching" methodology and want to add start isolation to protect valuable electronics with the added benefit of no electrical or Bluetooth loss during start 👌

I actually talked the dealer I bought my boat from into adding this to mine. So unfortunately I cannot help you with the installation. But if you can wait about 2 weeks I can snap some pictures for you of the install.

Thanks tgrace98. Pictures will be great. Still hoping someone else out there will have some more information to add. Probably won’t get to this for a few weeks minimum maybe another month or too. Work has me pretty business on the road. ✈️

Bfun220 did you run a ground off the ACR? If so what size wire did you use? Any photos would be helpful. 😁
