Hi everyone. I am considering purchasing a 246 that is for sale by me but it doesnt have a trailer and i am on a different lake than where the current owner has it. I am relatively new to a boat this large, what am I looking for in a trailer? Anyone have one for sale? When I look at used ones. What am I looking or will any trailer that is long enough work?

Related question, other than purchasing a trailer is there anything like renting a trailer or will a marina move a boat (this would be a 20mi move at the most)?

I'm sure if you catch the right marina they will moved it for you for a fee. Or check uship.com some of them have there own trailers. Otherwise watch for used or new.

Ez-Loader, Heritage, Eagle, and several other manufacturers make Cobalt-branded trailers for various dealers - you might see what the Cobalt dealers closest to you typically order, and if they have anything used.

Well hang on - do you need a trailer? Do you have a lift or a marina that slips for you? Do you need a trailer for anything other than this move? Don't buy a trailer to cart your boat 20 miles.

But if you do, buy Eagle :D
