WTB Full mooring cover for an R5.

Post by Snowman8 »

I have a 2014 R5 with the bow & cockpit snap covers and I trailer a lot so I would like to upgrade to a one piece mooring cover if anyone has one that they don’t use and would like to sell. My boat came with the fixed bimini but I have recently added the bimini EZ fold slide rails. I don’t know if there is a difference in the cover but maybe someone else could chime in if they know.
Thank you.

My dealer said that the mooring cover on the R5 isn't designed to work with the EZ Fold. We have a 2002 R5 with the mooring cover and I can confirm the velcro openings and clips are aligned only with the fixed bimini top.

Sounds like a custom cover may be in order then...

Just moving this back to the top. If anyone has one for sale I am still interested. Even though I am told it won’t work with the EZ fold bimini I can have a canvas shop make it fit.

I asked last year and I think they told me about $17-1800 but I can’t remember.

Do a search on facebook. Recently someone advertised one out of Texas somewhere. Needs a little work anyways if you need it modified.

Thanks, I’m not on FaceBook but my wife is. I can have her look but if i have to arrange pickup in Texas I would be better off buying new! Lol I live in central MN. I’m about 1300 miles from Coles Crossing... If the cover is in rough shape I would rather start off with spending the extra money for new than forever be patching. Maybe we can get a package deal on one for an R5 and an R7!
