The only one who ever got angry at me was my brother.
I would be pulling him behind our John Dory water skiing. Then I would slowly throttle back so he would sink into the jelly fish school I would find in the Chesapeake..... and then pull him back out by throttling up.....and then find some more and throttle back to lower him back in. God that was fun.   (although payback's were equally painful)

Certainly can be easy to hurt someone back there while tubing. Be careful boys.

For fun...and opposite wake shot enroute to Long Point Canada.

Very cool option southernboatman. Thanx for the pic!

How do you like pulling that step up while it's down in the water?

Yes about to scrapem off. Think about it every time I see a pic. Not on a trailer limits the rubbin and luvin time. "BBM" ..ha! maybe can get away with that! Gotta get something figured out though your right!
Aslan-well since you asked...love the step! Not wild about getting down to pull the knob. But it does float right up when you pull it so that part no prob. Still agile enough to do it so really, it is a sport/fun boat so that's part of the fun!. That said, if I ever upgrade will do the hydraulic platform!

"That said, if I ever upgrade will do the hydraulic platform!"

More than once we have forgotten to pull the ladder up and I'll see it "bouncing" back there after we are under way. It's small but still takes a little bit of effort to reach down and flip her up. Could not imagine doing that with a big platform. We are just in and out of the water too much-- switching "players" behind the boat.

I always mention to the boat reps at the boat shows..."someone needs to invent an electric ladder that at the push of a button on the helm--retracts." They always reference the hydraulic lift that you just mentioned. However, I'm not interested in that type of platform. Thus, we went to a "level with the water" extra extended swim platform that you can "hop" onto without a ladder. Unless you're my 75 year old mother-in-law in which case there is still a small step that pops out. But again, that can be easy to forget...Give me a button!

Southern mine are positioned a little differently so the light is not as intense in my wake as your is.

I'm going to come thru the transom with a new exhaust system this winter, so I placed my lights on the sides. They light up the spray really good!

Ok
Does cobalt give you a light on the helm at least to remind you it's down?

There's an old saying...
"There's those who have and those who will"

I can't imagine your props hitting that unless maybe your outdrive is all the way up----if so, that would be a major design flaw. This was the case with the 4th step in the ladder of the 262/3's that did NOT have the 2nd extended swim platform.

I'm curious what the giant flip down platform step does while underway at speed after someone forgets to bring it up.

Yt nice job. I didn't knew you were adding them. What brand did you go with?
I love our swim platform. It's a inch off the water and you don't need the ladder to get in. When and if we use it we haven't forgotten it yet. Oh I'm sure if you forget that flip down step you will know it. It's going to bounce all over. Not good if she breaks.

Our step on the 220 is smaller than southern's but it does not "float up" like the book says. I have to pull on the latch and use my foot to get the step to come up. It is new so I'm hoping it will loosen up. We have left it down when we idled to another spot with no problem.

I have not left it down yet underway but think it would be somewhat of a drag it you did.

Speaking of the step, it was a slight learning curve for me. At 69, I'm certainly not as agile as I once was, probably 1 step behind your mother-in-law. It took me trying a couple of times to get the hang of it but now like it. Told the sales guy the first time I was going to be 20 feet from shore just in case lol. Like southern, I may like the hydraulic version but would sit on it as it came up. That would make a good tv commercial, like the guy riding up the steps.
