Hey Jr5. So glad you found us!
I seem to remember reading on the forum that a hideaway marine digital media receiver was installed in a discrete location possibly behind the dash or under the floor near the ski locker. I may be wrong but others will chime in shortly.
Any pics of your R5? How is she powered?
And welcome aboard mate!

Re: R5 stereo location
Located under floor access via porta potti. If you sit on the porta potti and stretch your legs, there is a small space under the floor. No idea how I finally found it.

Re: R5 stereo location
Follow the RCA cables leading from the amps. It will most likely take you to underneath the floor forward of the head compartment. That is where it is on a 2021 model.

Posting some pics to help others locate. Reference is for a 2017 R5. Seated knee position added for scaling purposes.higginspa1371 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 5:12 pm Located under floor access via porta potti. Re: R5 stereo location
Nice pictures, tdryan.
I’m curious about that upholstered cubbyhole in the bottom right of your first picture. My head compartment is in dire need of some storage that gets clutter up off of the floor.
Do you have any pictures that show more of the head compartmentent? Also, does the floor have two different levels?

I believe my R5's head is basic training, Army government issued - meaning standard, barebones head from Cobalt. Below are two pics that I found online. The first one is exactly the same as mine (coloring is different, but everything else is identical), and the second one is what I believe to be the fully optioned R5 head (minus the jacuzzi). Not sure what you have, but you can see that in the absence of the vanity and sink, there's quite a bit of storage on the port side of the head.
HTH!

Re: R5 stereo location
This head compartment is identical to mine, except mine has a bunch more stuff in it. Like yours, there is a ton of potential storage space on the port side. Mine also has some space behind the porta-potti that I’m currently using to store a gallon jug of anti-freeze.
It looks like my porta-potti sits back farther from the door than yours?
A shelf or two on the port side would be a welcome addition on my boat.
