Accessing the front handle

Post by Barmann88 »

01 262 - I lost a nut on the back of this handle in the front. Does anyone know how to access it?

It’s hard to see from the picture but is that a speaker directly below the grab rail? If so you could hopefully remove the speaker and reach up through there. Either way you will probably be bleeding by the time you are done..

tie a length of 550 cord or something around the wrench before you go reaching, nothing like dropping a tool into the void....or a socket into your motorcycle's crankcase.....not that i have any experience with that.

Great point T13....that's saved me many times while working on boats. I wish I would have learned that trick when I was younger. Unfortunately I still have a 1/2'" box wrench in the frame of our Austin Healey from when I dropped it down the abyss. My dad was not a happy camper.

Thanks for the follow up B88! 👍🏻
Wasn’t expecting metric but I bet a 7/16” deep well may have worked too.
