where is a good place to get new boat cover for a 2001 cobalt 206. I need bow and cockpit covers. existing covers are 16 years old and some ripping at the pole locations, but generally getting a lot of water in boat in a few weeks of non use. boat located up on Bluff Lake in Antioch, Illinois. thanks for the input in advance

I wish I knew the name of them but you have some good upholstery shops there. Otherwise drive up here. I just had me ones made this year and love them. They can use your old ones for patterns.

All you have to do is install the snaps which is not difficult. Or you can mark them and one of those canvas shops can do it for you.

Find exact replacement snaps for your canvas. I had a hard time finding ones for my sea ray's cover when needed to replace a few until I went back to mfg (Great Lake boat top). Then it fit like a glove.

RNR and Great Lake are both pretty experienced at a variety of boats (including Cobalt), and can likely make exactly what you need. If you have the old canvas as a template, most any good canvas shop can make something that will work ok and look nice.

I believe its at gull marine in Michigan. If you call them you might be able to get a deal.
