Mooring cover

Post by AFD »

Hi

Looking for a full mooring cover or a new tonneau (storm cover) for my 273.
Tried a few on line suppliers but risky, will it fit?
Custom covers are frighteningly expensive so hoping there must be a good after market source.

Can any one assist please with a recommendation.
I tried my local Cobalt dealer he said no longer available - surely not 2015 boat.

I previously tried a full cover from Carver, it’s just too big and clumsy to fit, plus as not snug it will blow off I feel.
The Outer Armor type look to be a snug fit which would be good.

Cheers

I just purchased the Westland Sharkskin SD from I-boats. You can also go direct to Westland but I boats was a bit cheaper. Fabric is very different from my custom cover, lite weight but fit perfectly as long as you pay attention to the cover options.

Seems outer armor do have the plans for 273.
I’ve asked my Cobalt dealer as commercial sewing won’t deal direct only via dealers.
I’m told it will be an OEM version if I order - so I heading that way.

Anyone had experience with the OEM models I’ve seen the utube and they look good.

Best thing to keep boat dry, clean and perfect for trailering. OEM well worth the money and they look great.

As others have said you can’t go wrong with the OEM! I just ordered and received this Outer Armor cover for our R5 last summer. It fits perfectly and doesn’t move while towing down the road.
