We just use the ski pylon in the back of the boat.

Not a chance I would ever tow from a tower. My tube will stop my boat dead in it's Tracks and stall the BB. Mine had warning stickers on it.

Interesting. My owners manual doesn’t say squat about the tower or the ski eye.

News to me on the ski tow eye. That's all I've ever used of equipped with one. I guess you are supposed to use the 2 transom hold downs then?

So I know you always towed 2 tubes behind your boat what did you use?

We sure did BBP. Cobalt ski pylons AND mounts were built like tanks during the early 2000’s. (I call them the golden years). We had four tubes out at times being pulled by our pylon.

I take anything my dealer / sales person says with with a grain of salt, in my years of buying cars and boats I've found that 90% of the time I know more than the guy that works at the dealer. Most of the time it's just a job they do and they haven't put in any time studying the thing they are selling. I do like my dealer where we buy our boats from and they really know their stuff which is why I've done business with them, but it's always good to verify. I remember shopping for a truck and being told "Sure! this f150 will tow 10,000 lbs no problem!!!"
