Hey everyone,
I took ol girl out for the first time and guess somewhere I lost my swim platform plunger kit. I found one on Gordysparts.com for $209!! but it seems to be the only place I can find one. Anyone know where else I can look? Anyone have an older Cobalt they are parting out that has one?
The site list's the P/N as 404722

Re: Swim platform plunger
The problem you're going to run into here is that the locking pin/plunger mechanism is covered by a Cobalt patent, so there aren't a lot of them out on the open market. A parted-out Cobalt, or a part from your Cobalt dealer, might be other options, but I think you're going to have a tough time.

There're other threads here discussing that issue. Some have replaced them several times. I was able to get a new one from dealer under warranty.tbirdfrost wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 3:02 pm Hey everyone,

We've been two seasons without installing it and have had no issues.

Re: Swim platform plunger
What a proprietary pain in the ass. Honestly, I was thinking of keeping it out as Krob1114 mentioned. Seems the platform is heavy enough to keep still during trailering. If it pops up on the water, then that means it is time to bring it in!
Appreciate ya'll reaching back and giving some insights!
Happy boating.

Re: Swim platform plunger
It's probably worth asking a Cobalt dealer if they can get a part - I doubt they've retooled it much over the years. Unfortunately Cobalts seem to last forever, so there aren't a lot of parted-out boats out there to draw from. Best of luck,
John
