2020 R7 Surf badging
2020 R7 Surf badging
Looking at this R7 being sold by a MasterCraft dealer. Claims to be Surf, has sterndrive and visible surf tabs but badging at rear does not have the SURF badge like other surf models I've seen. Is this a variation of normal? I don't want to drive 7.5 hours to discover I've been deceived....

It looks like a surf drive to me. Ask for the build specs

Re: 2020 R7 Surf badging
At our dealer sometimes they remove the surf badge on the rear to make room for the name of the boat. Particularly if the owner registers the boat with the coast guard, the name has to be so big etc. Maybe that's what happened? If you want the badging you can still purchase them from cobalt through a dealer I believe.

Re: 2020 R7 Surf badging
My boat (R7 Surf) doesn't say surf anywhere on it, except in the garmins.
