Re: Boat Insurance

Post by Mykidsdaddy »

I was looking for some comparison posts. I went with GEICO today~~~ A little over 700/yr $250 deductible 30K agreed upon price. Boat is separate from trailer. I have a 272 with a 650 HP 572 GM Big Block.
They asked how long I have been operating boats, whether this was the biggest I have owned... all kinds of questions.

I haven't had the boat cleaned up and buffed out yet so I haven't taken many pics. The weather here has gone to crap~~~ So...my boat is sitting in storage until Mother Nature gets back on her meds~~~ I think we might even have nasty weather for Memorial Day Weekend :|
Here is the only pic I have of the engine! The other pic is of her hooked up and ready to come home with me the day I bought her!

You're welcome!!! More pics when the weather warms up!
Another quick question...
Do you guys have GPS boat alarms??? Do insurance companies give a discount if you have a GPS Locator on the boat??? I looked today and there is a place here in Reno that has a Viper GPS alarm for 350 installed. It's a $100 a year service fee as well.
