I've never added more than 6qts to mine.

Your dps drive shouldn't clunk going into a gear. Mine is smooth as silk and someone can't even tell it went into gear. Make sure you change the drive lube and only use volvo drive lube also make sure the impeller gets changed if this is a new to you boat.

I really rather have the Volvo 240! it packs a big punch in a small package can't beat it!

Ouch sorry. Use a ladder of some sort and add seadek to the platform and walk through so it's not slippery. Also watch your shorts for getting caught on the ladder release. If they get caught your going down again don't ask me how I know.
