Also another thing I installed some wet sounds 6.5” xs65 and looking at the fusion ra70 head unit any experience with these head units? Not looking for a crazy stereo just nice sound for now and add a amp later on once money stops flying out of my pocket! Thanks for your input!

Re: Steering wheel
Received my steering wheel today, all and all pretty happy with the quality of the wheel. The interchangeable wheel covering is a good option If it doesn’t match I can always swap it for a different color or style. Got it for $141 on eBay with adapter. Now I have to wait till spring to even see the ...

Re: Anchor chain
Chain is definitely going to help, the more the better. Also I would stick with the danforth/fluke type anchor imo they work the best for most any bottoms. Scope is a huge thing as well when it comes to holding power. We anchor almost every weekend in our 36 Carver and I have learned over the years ...

Steering wheel
I would like to replace the 90’s steering wheel on my new to me 96 22’. I am looking at a Forever Sharp billet wheel. My question is, is this a 3/4” keyed shaft? Or is it splined? Thanks much!

Re: 1996 Cobalt 220
Well it’s official she is mine!! Pretty excited going to take delivery in the spring, hopefully early April. What do you all got for stereos? The stereo in this is pretty dated so I was thinking about a new head unit, amp, and speakers. Nothing crazy just want clean good sound.

Re: 1996 Cobalt 220
I could see that with the fender holders, kind of a unique feature though! Yes we boat out of Red Wing MN on the Mississippi, we have a 36 carver in a slip there and are going to use this boat to run around in. Can’t wait!

Re: 1996 Cobalt 220
I think I can get atleast a 30 day warranty which I guess is ok for me. I think because of its age the don’t want to give a huge warranty with it. I have looked at a few other crownlines and cobalts, it seems like they use a higher quality interior cushions, and vinyl then the others. Oh and the ...
