Re: Trade Opinions – 2023 CS22 (V6-250) for 2019 R3 (V8-300)

As the proud owner of a 2019 R3, it seems like a good trade.
So good, in fact, that I would be worried about it. LOL
Our R3 turned 343 hours this past weekend and still runs like a top.

Re: Low System Voltage Warning - What's my next move?

We had the radio turn off with low voltage warning. We sometimes drifted for hours in the wind.
Replaced batteries that we have used almost 7 seasons, and no problems.

That's where it's located on a 2019 R3.

Re: Garmin Water Temp Issue

I have a 2019, and I know they stopped including the water temp on mine, I even had it in their marketing docs that it is supposed to be there and Cobalt replied that they hadn't gotten around to updating the marketing docs yet.

What do you mean you did a Hard reset?

My 2019 has the water temp ...

Re: Boat Covers

We have a R3. We take off the mooring cover in the spring and put it away until it's time to close the boat. It's not just the time it takes, but also the cost. I don't want to wear it out. I bought a cheaper, light weight cover for under $200. If I accidently tear it, I duct tape on both sides ...

Re: Oil Change Save some Money

I've been buying the Volvo Penta 10w-40 oil and it's over $60 per gallon. I went to Auto Zone to find something else, and out local Auto Zone does not stock any oil in 10w-40. I looked online and found some Liquid Molly Marine oil in 10w-40 and I'm considering it.

I bought the hand pump that has ...

Re: Considering a Cobalt R3

I purchased a 2019 R3 new (in 2019) with a VP350. It has been an excellent boat (now with 108 hours). It has not needed any repairs and the build quality is rock solid. You won't regret purchasing a Cobalt. As to engine power, the power curves for the VP 300 and 350 are pretty similar until around ...

I didn't notice the remaining fuel option on our Garmins. We're making a trip to the lake in a few hours, and I'll check.

Looking forward to seeing the R35. I too hope you don't regret it.
