I have the Faria GPS speedometer (0 to 60). It is great and accurate down to 1 mph (actually I think it reads in smaller increments). Reads the same as the chartplotter.

I pulled mine out and measured them. I ordered SeaStar Teleflex Xtreme cables from amazon ($52 each for 21' and $42 each for 18', but that was in 2016, no doubt a little more now). Mine are 3300/33C type cables (1999 293).

Too many to list, but the main ones/most visible are new dash panels with chart plotter, push-button switches and relay panel, and GPS speedometer. Also new Fusion head unit, JL amp and speakers, with NMEA2000 control from chart plotter, and NMEA2000 engine gateway to monitor engines on chartplotter ...

Yowsers! I wonder what kind of force would need to be applied to twist the splines like that? I don't recall those shafts being a 'sacrificial' part of the system, but I could be wrong. Did the hit blow up your prop? Clearly nothing seemed afoul as you went the whole season on it. Dang.

I backed into a stump at idle the first year we had the boat. It killed the engine but started up and ran fine. That fall when I pulled the drive, I saw that it had twisted the input shaft. I try to avoid stumpy areas and watch for logs.

Yeah down toward the dam there is a lot of smaller stuff but not much that large. Usually the big stuff comes in on the tributaries - Long Creek is bad about that. I'd hate to hit that running 25 at night.

We're at Indian Point Marina. We talked with the Harbor but we stay on the boat and sheltered slips are hard to find there. We get to rock your boats as we go by. We've probably seen your around. We went to the Regatta in 2016 and 2017 (did Lake30 last year - much wilder bunch).

We're at Indian Point. Holiday Island is nice. We make a trip each Fall to Beaver, AR and run past there. The lake looks different up that far.

She's old but still a lot of fun.
