Re: Bilge Pump Replace
Look at the size of the tubing leaving the pump, get the largest pump that uses that size tubing, or you will have to replumb it.

Kbloom. That looks great! I like how it matches your Gussi wheel. What did you use for the wrap? Where did you purchase it? Thanks.

Re: storage locker pistons need replacing
I ordered some cheaper ones online from somewhere, the end fittings were wrong, I replaced the ends on two of them, sent the rest back when I came upon BacktoBoating.com. They actually had the Attwood ones that matched perfectly. I got the engine hatch number from Cobalt. The 70# for the engine ...

Re: Cobalt 250 covers
Higher than the cheap Chinese no names, but still very inexpensive. About $40 for the largest one for the engine hatch. Spend the money for the Atwood, that’s what Cobalt used on my boat.

Re: storage locker pistons need replacing
I know this thread is old, but Cobalt used Attwood struts. Go to Backtoboating.com, they have a full line of Attwood struts by number and strengths. They are great to deal with. To convert Newtons (N) to pounds, multiply by .225. 0180N is 40 pounds.

Re: 2004 Cobalt 250 engine cover strut
Thank you for the info BBC. Of course, Cobalt doesn’t sell them. I contacted BacktoBoating.com yesterday. They sell Atwood struts. They have the Atwood SL-29-80 struts in stock. That’s the brand that Cobalt put on it originally, so I ordered one. I also went a bit stronger than the 70’s, but the ...

I just got an answer back from Cobalt. For those who need one, Cobalt says SL-29-70 is the correct one.

Re: 2004 Cobalt 250 engine cover strut
Before I order, can anyone with a similar size Cobalt post the numbers from your gas strut. I need the pressure number, in Newton’s is fine. An 80# strut would say 0355N.

I was thinking of my other boat, these are definitely stainless. Sorry for the misinformation…Freddie wrote: Sat Aug 07, 2021 6:03 pm I believe the rivets are aluminum. You will know when you try to drill them out. I’m doing mine tomorrow, I’ll report what I find out.
