Does anyone have a link or instructions on how to change the lower unit oil on the outdrive? Volvo penta 380 forward drive engine? Can’t find YouTube video of it. I can do everything else for maintenance.

Hello! Our 2020 R5 Surf is on a lake that the closest cobalt dealership is like 3+ hours away so it’s a real pain in the rear to take it back each year for service. Is there a list of annual service items and list of parts and where I could buy them to do the service myself? Ie filters, oil and ...

Update: David’s in OKC has been great to work with. I just wished there was someone closer to Eufaula lake or who would come out to the lake for service. The actuator on the surf tab was replaced as well as the zero off. Both working great now. We’re on the lake this weekend with a bunch of kids so ...

I have the 2019 R5 surf and am having trouble getting the chair to swivel freely. I can lift the lever to swivel it but it locks in position not allowing it to swivel freely. Anyone know the solution?

Update: 7/28 - I brought the r5 back to Davids in OKC Monday and they are replacing the Zero-Off as it has a short in it causing it to lose power once in a while. An unrelated issue occurred this weekend though - the right surf tab actuator broke rendering the tab useless and broken...it was just ...

Happy 4th of July! Just to give you all an update: David’s replace the Zero-Off GPS antenna and I returned the boat to Eufaula on July 2. Thought all was good, but each morning and a few times during the weekend the Zero-Off would lose power completely. Sometimes I would tap the front of the zero ...

David’s Sports Center in OKC...they’ve been great so far but only catch is that I have to bring the boat there for service as there isn’t a dealer or certified mechanic to my knowledge on lake Eufaula.

I spoke to the Zero-Off people in tulsa and they had a couple of thoughts:
- probably a power issue but could be gps puck installation not pointing exactly forward. There is an Aarow on it that should point straight forward. They were surprised Cobalt does not mount the gps on the exterior of the ...

Thanks John, I’m taking the boat back in to the dealer tomorrow. It’s a pain because it’s 120 miles away. I wish there was a standard procedure for checking these things prior to sale.
A smaller side issue was that the fuel gage was not calibrated and therefore basically useless the 1st 25 hours.

2019, R5 Surf: does anyone know where the Zero-Off gps puck/antenna is located? It should have its own and not be tied to the Garmin GPS. Thanks

Hey Fin, thanks for your note. On your Zero-Off when you set a speed like 10.5mph does it hold there flat exactly or does it vary up and down from 10.5 a bit? Ours just goes up to like 11.3 then sown to 9.8 then back up to 10.5 and so on...just doesn’t seem very consistent but I’ve never used one ...

I was told by my dealer in OKC that the Zero-Off runs off the Garmin antenna...but they may not know? Would there be two gps antennas on board, Garmin and Zero-Off?
