Re: R30 with VP 350s…
My set up is exactly the same on a 2021 R30. I have only tested the WOT with just me at the helm, no other crew, and a half tank of fuel. I hit 59 and a calm day for both wind and water conditions on TRL. The acceleration is excellent all the way through the MPH range. Not too shabby for a boat that ...

Re: R30 Leans to the Starboard side
Our 2021 R30 does not list at all while at rest. Adding fresh water and/or fuel onboard does not affect it either. It seems to me that your transom ( both sides) does sit a bit lower than ours. Do you have the 430's by any chance? VP 350's here.

Re: New member from Grand Lake, OK
what it has to offer...
It will handle rough water extremely well. We have been on TRL for 25 years and the water is more choppy than ever before even during the weekdays in summer.
It will accommodate 10+ people with lots a room to spare.
It still offers a "traditional Cobalt interior" vs a ...

Re: Add After market bow Thruster on New R30?
2021 R30 owner here. Do yourself a huge favor. Bite the bullet and get the joystick! I can,t speak to the experience of thrusters but the joystick, in my opinion, is life changing on a boat this size. Many times I have successfully played around with docking manually in a 12X28 foot slip. On a calm ...

Re: R30 build….what would you consider as a “must-have” option for this boat?
In my humble opinion, you chose the right engines for your boat. I also did the sea grass, a flag and the SS helm foot rest. Along with the underwater lighting you may want to add the swim platform lighting and the retractable swim platform as well. ( none of my suggestions are must haves ) Our ...

Re: R-30 or Formula 310??
We have a 2021 R30 with 350 VP's. A few weeks ago we were able to get her up to 57 MPH lightly loaded on Table Rock. The twin 12" garmins are the bomb. Also we and our guests spend most of our time coving out and chilling on that oversized transom / swim deck and , for us, it is not too large. And I ...

Re: Volvo Penta Silent Shift
We took delivery of a new 2021 R30 on Sept. 1st 2020. ( ordered on 6/1/2020) We have twin VP 350's. We were told that ours was one of the first boats with the current version of the quiet shift feature. There in NO perceived clunk or sound when shifting in gear. Not even with the engine hatch open ...

Re: New to Cobalt
Thanks JP. Good advice for sure. My feeling is that the joystick, hardtop and twins are a MUST for resale value. Many of the other options will not affect value much when the time comes to move it. We expect delivery in about 8 weeks. I'll post a FULL review as well as pictures and first impressions ...

That looks awesome. I love the color. Please report your first impressions after putting a few hours on it. What engine did you outfit it with?
