Hi All !
I have a trailer for my 226 that has seen way too much rocks from previous owner and also recently a helpful bro-in-law that dinged up the fender. Needless to say, I am planning to repaint. I am doing research and found that Trailers by Dorsey is no longer in business. I am left thinking ...

Re: Bimini Storage while trailering
Good idea! Normally I would have thought that, but not thinking? I felt like it should have already been considered. I am not comfortable going down the road with it up, then you have to take it down again to garage it. Thanks! Bill

Performance Upgrades?
Wondering if anyone had done any performance upgrades to their stock 5.7L Volvo Penta DP? I have a stock 155 hrs, and she does around 54 mph. Had other boats with Captains Call exhaust and would like it again, but with the extended swim platform that leaves me with side exhaust. I am bit nervouse to ...

Bimini Storage while trailering
Purchase '05 Cobalt 226 last spring. Nice boat! Had many others, but for a production boat its nice. Just came back from a long trip to my favorite late in Washington State - Lake Chelan. I decided to drop the bimini down while under tow. The trouble is it wants to scare up the gelcoat as the ...

The above pic is the base of the seat. I found upon disassembly that there were longer than normal screws for the seat cushon part. Probably that was what was poking my butt! Regardless the seat base needs to ...

Upgrading Shifter Control on Volvo
Hi ! I am wondering has anyone upgraded their factory standard side mounted shifter control? If so, please let me know what you used. I am so used to Morse control on my previous boat with Merc. This shifter you have to squeeze and it seems awkward/stiff. Going to replace cable and hope that helps ...

Looking for front seat on 226 - Fracture on the base seat
Recently purchased a 226 with very low hours. After my second trip out I noticed a sharp pain in the _ _ _ location. It was from a fracture in the base of the seat where the mount is bolted. The fracture is outside of the frame of the mount. Once I hit a good wave I get a nice pain. I need to ...

Looking for front seat for 226
I recently purchased a 2005 226 Cobalt, and found the drivers seat is fractured at the mounting points. When underway the seat wants to provide a sharp break in the ride - not fun. Evidently I have to buy a new inner shell from Cobalt as it is not a stock item. Wondering if anyone is selling a seat ...
