Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

GM makes an attempt at painting and undercoating to give the 6yr ,100,000 mile warranty on "Rust through" ( We don't see that in Marvy California as Salt is taboo )

We haven't added undercoating since the mid 90s but the coating does come off super easy.

We have a 2006 Honda element and they ...

Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

The other thing I’m wondering about GM, if they’ve settled out the premature rusting issue?. Especially the frames. The frame under my gmc is looking suspect enough that I took it to Ziebart..I wash top and power wash under the frame a lot. I can’t imagine how bad it could be if I didn’t take care ...

Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

As someone who has overloaded their F150 towing I am here for this!

Let me know when class starts.

As always Matt you have demonstrated you have forgotten more about many items that I could ever hope to know.

Unless we are talking Computers / IT / Bourbon or Turtles, then I may win? Maybe ...

Re:The Brits are Bangers

Sounds like you all need some trustworthy and world-renowned British manufacturing.

My engineer friend says the train he pilots is filled with superior, award-winning vehicles from 🇬🇧.

The suspension fault warning I received this morning that I fixed by locking and unlocking then turning it ...

Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

The stiffening is when more and more huddle together on the bar over time. Arms locked together and hunkering down forming a veritable wall of supernatural strength.

Also great bump! Can’t remember if BB or I started this thread but been a while since I posted a rig so here’s a new one ...

Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

:D
Thus the vehicle is actually becoming less supported at ride height and slowlllyyyy lowering itself.
It’s the compression and rebound characteristics that go flat and then.
Even more on the snubber than usual.
Stiff ride.

Just my .03 cents
That makes WAY more sense that the torsion bar ...

Re: Let's see your Tow rigs with your boat!

Love it when old threads pop up!
Actually in an odd way our torsion GM trucks “do get stiffer in time”.

What you say??

It was explained years ago by a GM engineer on trucks settled on one side with torsion load suspension.

it’s actually fatigue over cycles that allows the metal to yeld at its ...

No I didn't know that, im a boating newbie. It's nearly a brand new boat, so just seems strange the pump is weak. Does this seem like a warranty issue?
Most definitely a warranty issue. Have them fix it and enjoy that trim up and down on demand👍🏼.

Re: Trim not responding on plane

Hey mnsalt..
Trimming up under power is the hardest work your hydraulic rams endure as you know.
As the thrust is pulling the drive in. It appears your hydraulic pump is weak.

We can team up!
Haven acres is small but a interesting switch back slough ( twisted. )
Tiki lagoon is also managed by the same person. ( But Tiki has occasional music and lowest fuel prices.
I think that’s as far down towards mossdale I’ve been. You can go west and catch the slough towards discovery ...

Hey buddy.
The walnut grove lock.
We done the Sacramento trip many times up through there.
In our 282 with Bimini and didn’t have to lower it.
I’m sure our 272 with tower will go.

Spring when they first open the lock is iffy and trees are everywhere floating.
July on is perfect.
Yes the ...

Re: Extremely Rich at Idle

Looking for some feedback on a VP engine performance on a non-Cobalt.
i.e. VERY strong smell of unburned gas.
It starts readily and performance is really good

As idle can bring odors from fuel tank vents… lines.. leaking injectors etc. it’s best to have your friend take it in and have it ...

Re: Delta

May I suggest off March lane exit and I-5 Ladds marina.
You can launch easily and explore west and north.
Windmill Cove 1 Ike in the left has great music.

And going further in the main channel can open up places like Rusty porthole and classic Delta feel spots.
The Riverboat had a recent fire but ...
