Re: Water in the bilge - leaking valve on the bottom of engine (VP350)?

I went to the boat and did some further investigating today. It appears to be leaking out of one of the drain holes in the valve.

I did open/close the easy drain system (engine off) a few times and tried to clean out the drain holes. I didn’t find any debris or other issues. Still leaking after ...

Re: Water in the bilge - leaking valve on the bottom of engine (VP350)?

Thanks for the info/tips.

I did inspect the hoses on the back side and they don't seem to be the source of the leak. I saw that they are all fitted with compression/crimp fittings (like a PEX crimp style fitting), not the typical/adjustable hose clamp.

I have used the easy drain every year as ...

One more photo to better show the location on the front of the engine.

Water in the bilge - leaking valve on the bottom of engine (VP350)?

The last few times we have been out, I noticed the bilge pump would come on automatically and when I checked today, it looks like the valve (?) at the bottom/front of the engine is leaking. Maybe it cracked somehow?

This is a 2020 R5 with the Vovlo 350.

I attached a couple of photos here. What ...

Re: Garmin's failing intermittently

Thank you for the diagnosis -- this has started to happen on our 2020 R5 the last couple times out. I ordered the part from digikey today!

Re: Cobalt trailer for sale

Do you know if this would work for a 2020 R5? If so, please send me a PM as I am in the market for a trailer for my boat.

Re: R5 Table

I don't have the dimensions but will say -- we paid the $$$$ for the Cobalt table and it's pretty darn nice. Our justification was -- if you are already buying a boat that is nearly (or at) 6-figures, buying a $1k table is a small % of the cost of ownership :)

Thanks - those pics are helpful. I also agree on the stern mount ... we're not sure we'll use it there.

The table sure is beautiful!

Re: WTB Full mooring cover for an R5.

My dealer said that the mooring cover on the R5 isn't designed to work with the EZ Fold. We have a 2002 R5 with the mooring cover and I can confirm the velcro openings and clips are aligned only with the fixed bimini top.

R5 Dinette Table Install Help - Need Factory Mounting Details

We recently found and purchased a new R5 but it didn't have the table option from the factory. It's something we've known was a must-have in our next boat so I ponied up the $ and ordered the factory table with the install hardware (ok if I'm honest, I ponied up the $$$$).

Can someone with an R5 ...

Re: Bimini top frame damaged in transit

I am replacing those mounts on our 2020 R5 with a quick release mount to allow easier raising/lowering of the bimini. Do you still need that piece?

Also, do you know how to gain access on the port side rear bimini mount? I still have to do that side and I don't see an obvious way to gain access to ...

Re: Looking for nice R5 or 24SD

We are on Lake Lanier just outside Atlanta. Quite a difference in ride and comfort having a 25' boat on this lake when it's busy compared the (barely) 20' Four Winns H200 we sold.

This one came with the VP350, premium sound, sea grass, docking lights, RGB interior lights, dual batteries, and the ...

Re: Bimini EZ fold system problems.

Can I ask you folks - what was the parts cost to add the EZ fold and did you DIY or have the dealer install?

We just purchased an R5 without the EZ fold and it's in a dry stack where we have to put the bimini up/down each time to use it. I cannot get the included thumb screws to work because of the ...
