I was hoping someone can help me out, or at least point me in the right direction as to where I can find information…
This will be the first time I’ve changed brakes on [any] trailer and I’m having trouble trying to figure out what size the drum brakes are on my trailer for my 1997 200…

Re: Tool kit essentials
Can’t go wrong with SureFire... I’m a huge fan after using them in the military and working for DHS. I used the same one for about 15 years before I finally decided to buy a new LED one and kept the old one as a backup.

Re: New Outdrive Clicks When Turning.
I completely forgot to give an update on this. It turned out to be an incorrect or bad seal. After I brought it back to the shop, he found that SEI had sent either a defective or incorrect seal. They overnighted a new one and everything has seemed to be working just fine. Granted, I’ve only taken it ...

Re: Bow Stopper/Roller Replacements?
Ok. I’m taking it out this weekend, so I’ll snap some pictures while it’s offloaded.
I can tell you that it has those 2 threaded rods where those rollers bolt onto. I don’t see where a long bolt would go to mount a Y stop. Could I just replace those worn out rubber ones with a couple durable non ...

Re: Bow Stopper/Roller Replacements?
Ah, man! That’s what came on it when I bought the boat. Can you post a picture of what it’s supposed to be? It just seemed they belonged there and just wore out.

Bow Stopper/Roller Replacements?
Does anyone know what these are actually called, and where I can find some? I’ve been looking for some to replace current ones which are cracked/split, but I can only find the “Hour Glass” type. 7B2C57B0-CE90-46F1-9857-598D882345B0.jpeg 557839CD-1181-4021-9DB4-78A2094BC08F.jpeg 43AB5B6F-C647-4DD5 ...

Re: JL stereo upgrade
If you’re just looking for clarity and good sound, one 12 inch subwoofer will be more than plenty. Anything more and you run the risk of far too much bass that can potentially overpower your overall goal of clarity.

Re: JL stereo upgrade
gdane has a good point. Even with a large enough amp to make 3 subs worth the work, there’s a couple things to keep in mind.
1) All of those components are going to need a significant and dedicated supply of power. Probably more than the motor can supply.... And,
2) Between the subs themselves ...

Longer Wiring for Fish/Depth Finder.
I need some advice on wire length/gauge
I’m going to be installing a new Garmin Striker 5CV fish/depth finder on my 98’ 200 soon. I’ll be mounting the display up by the helm, but the Garmin’s factory power cable is far too short to run from the battery inside the engine bay.

Re: 98’ 200 Trolling Motor?
Elkhunter2372... That’s actually not a bad idea. I’ve looked at motor mounted TM’s a long time ago for a different boat but they were far too expensive for my budget. I just looked and at them again and they are actually cheaper than most bow mounted. I’ll have to do some research and dig a little ...

Re: 98’ 200 Trolling Motor?
Haha. I figured it would be an unwelcome and disgraceful (not to mention, sacreligious) topic to bring up, but I thought I’d try, nonetheless.
Granted, anything that I do is all going to be reversible (i.e. somewhat natural looking with minimal high quality hardware). That way any remnants of my ...

98’ 200 Trolling Motor?
I have a 98’ 200 and was wondering if anyone has had any experience mounting a trolling motor on a cobalt?

Re: Wake is off to one side?
Thank you, cmattj. I haven't had a chance to take it back out yet after the shop fixed it, but they said the knocking sound is no longer present. It turned out that SEI shipped the wrong seals and sent out the correct ones one the shop figured it out. They did replace the gimbal bearing again just ...

Wake is off to one side?
I had a new SEI 116 outdrive installed on my 97' 200 about a month ago. We took it out last Thursday to break it in some more and I noticed that when the boat is going straight, the wake looks to be angled off to the right. There was no wind or any other boats near by, so I don't think any sort of ...
