Does anyone know what fabric the Cobalt mooring cover is made from and the manufacture?

I understand that I am likely a old dinosaur but I want a nice runabout open bow boat like I have had for 30 years. Easily pulls a skier and is pleasant to drive around our lake. The R4 gained almost 800 # from the R3 while it is only 5”longer. My guess is almost all of that weight is for the R4 ...

Thanks for the input, the R6 is to big for my dock and the way we use the boat. R6 in my opinion still have a weight issue. The Formula 240 is about 900 pounds lighter than the R4.
I plan on taking a test drive in a 240 next week, unfortunately I am not sure if I ever will be able to test drive a R4.

Unfortunately we live at the lake only and Cobalt dealers will only quote you based on your zip code. I have tried to get pricing from dealer that are not that far away but unfortunately I live in the Singleton Marine area. I still am concerned about the R4 weight and you can’t even see or test ...

I’m sure this is probably not the best place to ask but has anyone considered the Formula 240 BR instead of the R4? I really am concerned about the weight on the R4 and I don’t like my local Cobalt dealer.

I actually went to the VP site and the 380 is slightly lighter 20 pounds or so.

I am thinking about purchasing a new R4 to replace my current Cobalt 226.
Some questions, I am a little concerned about the overall boat weight.
Does anyone know the difference in the motor weights?
Volvo 300 (not interested in but assume this is used for the base weight
Volvo 350
Volvo 380 ...

Are there any rumors about the R4 Release, I thought that I had heard that it would be very early 2021?

Interesting that they are discontinuing the R3 without releasing the New R4. Has anyone heard a R4 release date. I thought that I heard the R3 is there best selling boat.

I live in the SE, thought about purchasing a new boat at the ATL boat show last January but decided to wait one more year. Current discount is 17% off list verse 26% off list at the boat show.

I would be very interested in the boat show pricing as the dealer pricing in my area is just so high and the will not negotiate at all. Which means I will have to wait another year for a new boat. I have also been researching new wood boats and would consider one if pricing stay so high.
