I bought a 2001 246 with an 8.2gsi (502ci) last fall, engine has about 475 hours on the clock. Only got to use it for a week last year before it got too cold but it ran strong and was a blast.

Update: Replaced both up and down relays, total cost $33. Works really well now.

Holy Smokes, you’re 100% correct. Tapped them and they’ll cycle. Probably going bad, I’ll replace those solenoids just to be safe.

New to me, 2001 246 with 8.2 VP. Day three with the boat, trim worked normally on days one and two, but today, no trim.
I can hear the the relays clicking when I activate the trim switch up and down, but the hydraulic trim motor does not appear to pump fluid.

I’m looking for my first Cobalt. :)
My lake has a 26’ size limit but we’re at 7000ft altitude. I prefer something with more power to overcome the loss of power due to altitude. I’m open to a 226 as well, but like the little extra space of the 246.
