Thanks. I have no problem with the swim step it's my wife as she has no real upper body strength and is hampered by a bad knee. I am hoping the R5 swim brackets which will lower the step 3 inches does the trick.

For anyone that is interested there looks like there is a couple of options to address the issues of using the swim step.
