Wow. Nice job Argo.
Great documentation too.
Would you do anything differently now that it’s completed?

So glad you found us PB1.

The 253 is a nice craft for sure. You may want to jump up to the 2000 and later 262/263 models. I believe wood transoms were the norm before that verses all fiberglass/composite construction after.

And welcome aboard mate.

So glad you found us jp19...

Not sure about the certification plate change but I will say that having both carbureted and fuel injected boats; hands down fuel injected for the ease of starting, reliability, and ease of use.

We have owned both Merc and VP. No issues with either at our marina in ...

Amazing pic k…..!

The photo with the boat inside was 2 years ago. We were there last July as well, but unfortunately in August, that arch collapsed.

Re: Who has experience with R4 surf?

So glad you found us DanUSA.

Always wondered how the R4 surf compared to the X15. We almost went with an X15 but the shallow deadrise would not work for our boating needs on Lake Erie.

20% off of MSRP should be a given with 25% being pretty aggressive. I’ve not heard of much above 25% while on ...

Re: Boat Shopping

Lookin' good pt..! Love your boy's smile. A future Cobalt owner for sure.

Yes in regard to the early 2000 models, the 262/263 model is the widest beam (8'6") that is considered legal to trailer in most (if not all) US states.

UPDATE:
This is hard to believe, but the prop did not hit the swim platform, but rather the trim tab! No one could believe it was possible.
Not bashing Cobalt here. This boat has been amazing and this is going to get covered. Obviously, this should be impossible. Just a word of warning to any R33 ...

Re: ISO Factory 282 arch / Tower.

Hello all
I just joined up here. I purchased a 2006 Cobalt 282BR a year ago and really enjoy this boat. It has a factory Bimini top; however, I am interested in finding an arch tower, preferably a used OEM that they originally came with new. I've had no luck finding one and now thinking of having ...
