I would use a ceramic reptile heater bulb over a light bulb. Safer and won't burn out.

Depending on the water temperature, you might be ok if you drain everything else. Problem is, if the raw water pump freezes, you could sink your boat.

Buy one of the 100AH ones.

Thanks for the replys. The lift is the Legacy 6,000 capable and I cant find the current draw. The Lithium battery would be nice but about $ 1,000, YIKES. I was thinking an AGM battery but have to do some research on the compatibility with the solar panel and charging rates. I saw that the AGM's ...

A starter battery is designed to start the boat with maximum current capability but is not as good if the battery is more deeply discharged than that.

I am the one that purchased the switch from bruceb58. Just buy the Mercruiser T harness, cut the plug off the Volvo switch and wire it accordingly. The red button will not be used in your application so there will be one spare wire. The Volvo switch is a much nicer looking switch and operates ...
