Re: Coolant and Exhaust Temp Error
I'll trace the loop and check all the seals. I'm flummoxed as well. I spent all day on it yesterday but might have to tip my cap and know when I'm bested, take the L and just bring it in to service. I'll update as soon as there is a conclusion. Thanks for the ideas.

Re: Coolant and Exhaust Temp Error
Yes, changed the entire pump. The impeller was in solid shape, no broken pieces, nothing that would show any kind of damage, Its strange. I'm thinking maybe a manifold sensor gone bad or something.

Coolant and Exhaust Temp Error
Wondering if anybody else has had this happen to them and any ideas on how to repair. 2012 Cobalt 296 Starboard side engine temp rises quickly when 1/2 throttled to over 200 degrees and engine goes into 2 alarms (coolant temp and exhaust temp) safety limp mode. However, when it is idled or low ...

Re: 232 With Broken Swim Platform
I also have the same issue but I was able to save the knob. That does me no good though cause I have to purchase the full pin anyhow from what I understand. On that note, does anybody have a good Cobalt dealer they use? I've gone through Marine Connection in Florida and Strongs Marine in NY and both ...

Re: EVC System
Lee - Thanks for the info and the manual. It helped immensely. I'm going to read up on it and try it out in a few weeks when I'm back down by the boat. Thanks!

EVC System
I mentioned in another thread that I'm new to this forum and will have a bunch of dimwitted questions and here is another one. I just bought a 2012 Cobalt 296 with twin I/O and it has the Volvo Penta EVC system. My other boats never had this system so I'm doing my research as to how it works and ...

Re: Wakeboard Tower Suggestions
I already tried that but the guy I bought the boat from yelled at me and said I have to put it in the water first for it to work right.

Re: Wakeboard Tower Suggestions
Thanks for the info. I think I may have to go that route too and suck up a summer of non shade until it comes in. I'm looking at the Blade as well. I'll just have everyone hold an umbrella that doesn't want sun.....

Wakeboard Tower Suggestions
New to the forum. Just bought a 2012 296 a month ago. Never had a Cobalt before so I'm excited. There isn't any type of canopy of arch on the boat so I'm looking for suggestions on what type of wakeboard tower I could install. I want to put something more sleeker on the boat than a traditional ...
