.
I would think it will sell fast Shawn. Going from this classic to a Pontoon will be quite a change. We know which one will turn more heads. 8-)

It was such a nice family that bought it. If not for that I wouldn’t be involved again. They bought it last July and the first time they took it ...

Re: 1985 CM23 for Sale
Shawn please buy I back and keep it looking new!
Ya know....I wish it were that easy. As much as I love this boat I just don’t like the boating here where I live. Now if I had a larger cruiser I would get back into boating....and take off. But as long as my mother-in-law is still living (she’s ...

1985 CM23 for Sale
Hi Everyone....
Last year I sold my CM23 but the new owner has decided a pontoon boat would fit their needs better. He has asked me to help him sell it. I have ads in the For Sale section of this forum as well as Cobalts for Sale or Wanted group on Facebook and FB Marketplace locally. It’s still in ...

1985 Cobalt CM23 for sale....again
Hi All....
I’m back again. Last June I sold my restored ‘85 CM23 to a great local family but after a couple of times out they realized that a pontoon boat would be a better boat for their family’s needs so they have asked me to assist in the sale of the boat due to my knowledge of it.

Re: First Time Restoration
I don’t want to rain on your parade but you need to be aware of what you are undertaking. My experience talking here.
First, you must have an emotional attachment to the project otherwise you will never complete it. Sounds like you may check this box.
Do you have the room to dismantle a boat ...

Might be a bit too much HP for that size boat.

Re: 1982 cs7
In the early 80s "C" Series boats, Cobalt built their transoms and stringers with layers of plywood and then sealed them with resin prior to glassing them in the boat. Unless there were holes drilled and not properly sealed in those areas the boat should be fine structurally. For a grand, I would ...

Re: 1987 21 BR Project
Agreed. Great looking seats Nola.. Did you construct the seats yourself or did you farm it out to a shop?
Here's my update the for the weekend. I demo'd the rotten lid which housed the convertible top so that I could better access the engine area. Once that was done and cleaned up I started in on ...

Happy it all worked for you.Anacletus wrote: Tue Jul 14, 2020 7:57 pm Apologies for the late response, but nolaboayer99, that was indeed the issue. When the previous owner replaced the throttled and cables, they did not adjust. All back full again possible. Thank you.

Thanks, but she’s gone now. Sold to a family that is going to finish what I started. The weather here is so funky that the boat was just not getting used the way I like to boat.

Re: 1987 21 BR Project
I just sold a 1985 CM23 that I did a lot of work to. I was tired of the tuck and roll and replaced with this.... I designed all of this and had the embroidery done as well

Thanks for all your contributions, and being part of our community. Hope you still manage to get out on the water some, and maybe rejoin us someday. I suspect Big Block's keeping an eye out for a new boat for you already :)

Goodbye Everyone
Today I sold my 1985 CM23 to a really nice family that assured me they will continue the work I started. With that, I am no longer a boat owner and currently have no plans to have another.
Thank you to all for the lively conversation, comments and compliments. Everyone stay safe.
