Re: R30 Leans to the Starboard side

There is really nothing unusual stored in any particular location on the boat. I was hoping somebody would reply with a “this is common and here’s why” sort of a response. Seems not to be the case. Appreciate all the feedback. Dealer sending pics to cobalt to see what they think. #f’nboats!

Re: R30 Leans to the Starboard side

I suspect the 6.2 L twin 350s explains why my boat rides somewhat low in the back. They are huge. It doesn’t explain why it leans to one side a little bit. My dealer agrees that it looks a little weird leaning that way and he’s going to send some photographs to Cobalt To see what they think.

R30 Leans to the Starboard side

Hey team. So I have a 2022 R30. I have been using it for a few months now (and love it) but it’s been bugging me that when it sits at the dock it always leans slightly to the starboard side. Looking at the back at the waterline, it appears to consistently lean about 1-2 inches lower in the water to ...

Re: Cockpit Heater - worthwhile option?

I ordered it on my yet to be delivered R30 but don’t know yet. Wife is happy I did and since she gave me no grief about ordering the boat, the heater seemed like a small price to pay. :-)

Re: New R30 Build

I don't think cobalt is only a lake boat. I think the reason cobalt isn't on the coasts as much is because they lacked in the OB models. OB have issues also in Salt water you just don't hear about manifolds and such. Cobalt has a good salt water package. We saw the stainless steel first hand at ...

Re: New R30 Build

Personally, I would never purchase stern drives for salt in any way, shape, or form, period.
Outboards only.

Honestly, I don’t know if I would buy a Cobalt for ocean use. Awesome lake boats, but coastal?

There is simply no question that ALL boats would do better over time if they were never ...

Dealer telling me because of salt water the mercs are no brainer. I think because of the salt water package they can come with.

Re: Add After market bow Thruster on New R30?

Thanks for the thoughts. The other issue with an after market bow thruster is that they have to cut two holes in the hull and one in the deck of the boat to create an access panel. They are pros, so I am confident in their ability, but hate cutting holes in a new boat! Also, the hatch they put in ...

Re: New R30 Build

I would imagine the Sea Core comes with the upgraded “ salt water hardware package?

I would ask as it’s amazing in quality and shine.( yes I pocketed a few screws on my vist to Cobalt).

The build looks great as fresh water guy . Yes 8.2 would be great. 8.2 HOs with captain call exhaust would be ...
