Re: What speeds should I be seeing on my 226?
I'll check my gear ratio. Always possible I have mountain greats.
Cmatt, as a pilot, I know all to well the effects of density altitude. My airport is 4400 ft and the other day I took off at 8700 density altitude. Needed most of my 6000 ft runway. But, I never thought about how it affects the ...

What speeds should I be seeing on my 226?
I have a 2006 226 with the 5.7 GXI with Volvo DP and a F4 prop set. I read on here that the 226 hull is the fastest and people claim to hit 50+ at 5200 RPMS.
I run at altitude in Utah at 4400 ft at a minimum. I don't see my RPM's get over 4750 at WOT and I just got GPS 43mph the other day with full ...

Re: Post your JULY, 2018 (& Independence Day) pics!
It was the 5th of July and there were about 7 boats we saw all day. Water was pretty clean for being River fed, but sure cold at 65f. I'm going back there next 4th even though there isn't a beach.

Re: Seadek Flooring replacement
I got quoted $860 for just my rear platform and Swim Deck by SC Wake, this price seems super high as I though I remember reading some of you were getting the whole damn boat for $1200.
Anyone willing that has done just the rear of the boat willing to share their price?

Re: Bimini Installation Height
Poles are the way to go. Mine don't rattle or appear stressed in any way. The trick with any aftermarket top is to make sure it pulls very tight. Or, if you have adjustable poles that you can tighten after clipping in. The bimini should be able to have a coin bounce off it when dropped. Otherwise ...

Re: Squeaking when steering, any solutions?
Thanks for the info. My outdrive is clean, freshwater only and no corrosion, but the squeak is audible in and out of the water. I soaked it with teflon lubricating spray and its been sitting for a week now. i'll see if it did anything. Then it might be a "add this to the list" for the winter. I've ...

That was basically what I figured. Was hoping for simpler, but I got an answer. Thanks!

Squeaking when steering, any solutions?
So, I don't know if I just noticed it or what, but my outdrive squeaks pretty bad when turning. I'm on the Volvo Penta 5.7 GXI DP outdrive. I can only see one lubrication point which goes into the drivetrain. When turning, it appears to come from the two connection points outside, not inside. There ...

Re: Snap repair in fiberglass
I bought a #10 snap kit, (Standard snaps screws are #8) It screwed into the larger hole and now works. Otherwise, resin and re-drill.

Snap Repair
One of the snaps that holds my carpet in ripped out of the fiberglass. I bought a screw repair snap, but the hole is too big. The fiberglass appears to have stripped out a bit, so i don't know what options I have to fix this snap. It is on the pass through carpet and as such, hits the wind and flips ...
