Re: Battery, Battery Switches and Possible Upgrade
first rough draft of new layout. I realize a few things are missing like fuses at the battery connections, an additional ACR and the bilge pump to the constant power side, but this is a rough first draft.

Battery, Battery Switches and Possible Upgrade
I'm thinking about replacing the batteries on the 323 this spring and since it's been freezing and snow covered here i've been thinking more about doing a larger upgrade. Current 12v system includes 3 batteries ( interstate group 24), 3 battery switches (4 way 1, 2, 1+2, off), 1 Blue Sea ACR ...

Re: Purchasing my 1st Cobalt and have a few questions.
I think it was right in the 97' time frame that Cobalt went to an all composite construction. Foam transom in all boats in 97' that could add to the additional rating. Could just be the difference between a "wood" boat and an all composite construction. All composite, fuel injected would be my ...

Re: Boat Shopping
I say go for it too! Those 262's are a cool boat. Back in the day in our 280 sea ray before the no wake zones i would either duck into a cove to hide out for a while or try to get in behind the biggest cruiser i could find heading my way and follow along until we got out of the worst of it. its all ...

Re: 282 windless needs replaced
". . . spitting out plastic teeth."
You might just need to replace the pressure arm. About $30. And DIY.
This!! If you can find your original manuals in your cobalt bag the Maxwell stuff has a spare pressure arm with it if it hasn't been used yet. The only plastic in that Maxwell windlass is ...

Re: 8.1 Overheated, Motor Died, Now just “Clicks”
Don't forget to figure out what caused the overheat to begin with, if it was an impeller issue or something else. Could be a blockage if the old impeller you replaced had damaged vanes on it. You could use your fox gateway to check the sea pump pressure and block pressure from the fox marine app.

Re: 8.1 Overheated, Motor Died, Now just “Clicks”
I would change the oil and plugs out to be on the safe side but glad it turned over! hopefully that means nothing is bent or broken internally. probably not a bad idea to change the oil again after you run it for a little while too.

is there a speaker underneath the flag holder you can remove? It looks like there is one on the opposite side of the boat.
