By the way.. when i cleaned and inspected the liquid, it was mostly water and just a small film of red fluid. So its not a major fluid leak as the picture might suggest.

But if it leaked over time, I would have seen a stream of fluid leading to the bilge. The smell was somewhat sweet, not much of a petrol smell. I cleaned the bilge after discovering the leak and ran the boat for a coolant test. The temps were fine and after the run I inspected the levels, it was the...

Suggestion on trim tabs for 2005 282

I'm looking to add trim tabs to my 2005 282 the 2024 season. What are the recommendations brand/size and electric vs hydraulic?
It seems the job to install is pretty straight forward, however, the whole purposely putting a hole in the boat thing....gives me pause! :lol:

Thank you guys! looking forward to contributing to the community. I bought a buffing machine and watched YOUTUBE UNIVERSITY to better understand the process. I did a test spot and it come our looking great. Any tips to buffing would be greatly appreciated.
