Re: Curse of the Black Dots - Soluition
OK, I know this thread is a bit old, but I have to chime in on praising the Mckee's Nautical One spray. When purchased, our Cobalt 255 cabin had MAJOR mold/mildew in the sleeping area, due to both anchor locker hoses leaking into the interior of the bow. The boat had been tarped, with the factory ...

Re: Your Classic Cobalt
I concur. The pixel jockeys did a great job shooting the event. All of it, shot composition, editing, tasteful drone footage, even the audio:-)
(I'm a 40 year audio engineer that's been sucked into video production.)

Re: 2021 Table Rock Cobalt Regatta
As far as the definition of a classic cobalt... there really is none. but we like to think its 1991 and older, since this was the last year Cobalt produced the "classic series" (19BR, 21BR, 21CC). its funny how some people have these later 90s cobalts and LOVE to be considered a classic rather ...

Re: 2021 Table Rock Cobalt Regatta
Came here to ask about the 2021 Regatta. Left satisfied:-)
See everybody there.
(Assuming my exhaust manifolds are all that succumbed to the cold snap. Yes, I pushed my luck and lost. New manifolds and risers get here tomorrow))

Re: Radar Detectors
A Valentine 1 in each Jeep GC, with the remote displays discreetly installed just above the steering column and the main units obscured by the window tint at the top of the windshield. I could buy several new v2 units with the money they have saved us in the first couple months. We also have run ...

You should do the classic run on Friday the day before. We leave Indian point at 9am so should be at the bridge about 9:30

Re: 2020 Table Rock Lake Cobalt Regatta Roll Call!!
We're up for this. I assume the starting point will be Indian Point? We are finally going to have the boat prepped in time this year!
However, it's unlikely we'll be rafting with other boats this round, for the obvious reasons. Regardless, a run to Campbell Point would be fun, even if we just join ...

Re: WTB: Lowrance Series 3200 Depth Finder (Factory Cobalt)
A cover may be the answer. I've got an iPad running SonarPhone and Navionics, so I don't NEED the factory depth finder.
But after restoring the crazed, cracked lens covers on the instruments, I would like to keep it stock.

Re: 2020 Table Rock Lake Cobalt Regatta Roll Call!!
We are all in this year! Finally! We missed the '18 and '19 Regattas, as the Cobalt was still in restoration mode. Even then we always signed up and got the swag:-) We put almost 300 trouble free hours on her late last season, and she's been an indoor kitty in the heated shop over the winter ...

WTB: Lowrance Series 3200 Depth Finder (Factory Cobalt)
I'm restoring the instrument panel on my '92 Cobalt 255, and my functional but severely UV damaged factory in-dash depth finder unit is an eyesore.

Re: Pontoon Invasion - Whats up with these Tritoons?
Since we didn't get our Cobalt on Table Rock lake until late July, this past weekend was our first holiday weekend on the lake in several years. We were taken aback at the number of new tri-toons on the lake. From Cape Fair marina to State Park marina, easily half the boats we saw were pontoons, and ...

Re: Iphone APP for GPS / Navigation ?
No, the maps reside on your phone (iPad, tablet, device, etc.) after downloading them. You only need a device with GPS capability for full functionality.THe problem with Navions starts when you get out of the cell coverage area, right?

Re: Run those Bilge Blowers!
So much misinformation about refueling out there. Blowers should only be turned on after fueling, and all hatches and companion ways are to remain closed during fueling to prevent the fumes, which are heavier than air from entering bilges and void spaces.
I don't mean to be contrary to some ...
