Re: Garmin upgrade/retrofit

Hey thanks Aslan7... love my R5... during boating season I'm out on it every other weekend on the lake here in TN.

Side note I did a small but significant upgrade last time the boat was in service. I had them upgrade all the slow old USB-A ports to new USB-C !!! The part is a direct replacement ...

Re: Who has experience with R4 surf?

Can’t speak to an R4 surf but in terms of MSRP % off new with the rebates Cobalt was offering early summer and then again this late fall I was quoted 28-30% off MSRP on a new R4. Since last fall boat sales have not been great from my understanding and this past summer was the first time Cobalt ever ...

Re: anyone have spy shots of the new CS series?

Wow, I didnt know there are plans to redesign the CS series. Really looking forward to that if thats the case. I think they could really make that line a high seller since the price point is significantly cheaper than getting into an R series.

Re: CS22 in Rough Water

By the way I had a Seadoo and it was the worse piece of junk ive every bought. Switched to Yamaha Waverunners and it has been amazing. Never have had a single issue with it EVER. Ride quality isnt as good but who cares when you can just push the button everytime and not have to worry about a damn ...

Re: CS22 in Rough Water

Thanks for all the info everybody seems like I am headed in the right direction with the CS22 and it will do exactly what I want of it. I agree with I like the styling of the CS22 in the water and it looks very good in my opinion. I did see the ease of maintenance for the volvo penta and I loved it ...

Re: CS22 in Rough Water

Wow, this is all great information guys and much appreciated. It seems based off your feedback that the CS22 really does handle the choppy waters very nice and will don the job just fine. I think I am going to seriously look into it now at the dealer and get out for a water test. Like I said, I was ...

CS22 in Rough Water

Hi All, I am contemplating on buying a CS22 and the main thing that is holding me back is I am trying to figure out how people think it handles choppy water. I really would love an R4 and that was my first intention but I just don’t think I really want to be in that price point at the moment and I ...

2015 R3 Volvo V8 300HP reliability?

Hi All,
I am looking into purchasing a 2015 R3 with the 300hp Volvo Penta v8 Duo Prop. My question is, how reliable are these engines and drives? I am a Mercury guy and have not had a cobalt this will be my first :) so I really want to make sure I make the right choice! I love cobalt and I am ...
