Has anyone added ballast bags or weights to their Surf model? If so, where did you place them? The wave given from our R7 Surf is probably high enough but but is short. I'm thinking of adding a 370lb bag in the ski locker to push the bow down in hope of getting a longer wave - at 195lbs I tend to ...

Thanks everyone! I'm 6'1", 190 but there's only 4 of us so if I'm in the water there's less than 400 lbs of body weight in the boat. Where did you put the fatsac on the boat? It does have a fresh water shower tank at the stern port side - thinking of filling that up as another ballast.

Pulled the trigger: 2020 R7 Surf. A super fun and beautiful boat. Our kids dropped the rope with only a handful of runs. I've dropped it a few times and almost immediately lost the push....goal is get it this season!

Thanks everyone, I opted to drive the 7 hours for 2 years newer, 300 hours fewer and 2.5 years of remaining warranty - for the same asking price. Had it out over the weekend - WHAT A BOAT!

Looking at this R7 being sold by a MasterCraft dealer. Claims to be Surf, has sterndrive and visible surf tabs but badging at rear does not have the SURF badge like other surf models I've seen ...

Pros: Overall in great shape and less than 30 minutes from me. Well optioned and includes trailer.
Cons: high hours for our region, history of electronic issue primarily connected to surf system, I feel asking a premium
