Re: Searching for OEM Cobalt 262/263 Swim Platform
262/263 extended platforms will work on a 272 hull. They're the same hull, different liner. A newer 242 extended platform will also work if you have a good fiberglass and welder to build you custom brackets. I almost went down that path years ago.

Re: 2012 Cobalt A28 For Sale
Boat was stored indoors on a trailer, or sat on a boat lift on Lake Geneva. Boat was in the water for two seasons in DuSable Harbor. All freshwater use. I have a buyer lined up, but first one with the money will take the boat. Firm on price at $100K. Boat is clean and ready to go for the Spring ...

2nd Hidden HIN Number
Boats manufactured or imported on or after August 1, 1984, also have a duplicate secondary HIN somewhere on an unexposed location inside the boat or beneath a fitting or item of hardware. Has anyone ever come across the hidden HIN on their Cobalt?

Dashboard Modification
Looking for any advice on modifying dashboards. Any 2000-2007 262/263 owners have an experience drilling through the plastic/metal dashes?
Looking to bore out center hole from older Sony remote and want to avoid cracking any plastic.

Re: Finally a Cobalt forum....
Hi DearH20,
I was curious when you installed your SIMRAD headunti on your 263 if you had to drill into the plastic and metal dash?
I'm installing a Fusion Remote and I need to bore out the plastic and don't want to damage it as parts will be impossible to find.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Off Season Stereo Build
Do we know how big the hole size is for this older style remote? I’m hoping for 1.5” or more. Got a fusion Apollo stereo with remote that I’m looking to install this weekend.Bfun220 wrote: Mon Jan 21, 2019 5:30 pm Sorry, I thought it was still the older style, Like this.
I'd still pull it and check.

Cobalt 262 Fiberglass Arch Removal
Does anyone have experience removing a fiberglass arch from an older model 262. I never liked the look of the Fiberglass arch. I'm interested to see what the bolt pattern in the top deck looks like once removed.

We'll I don't own one yet - I'm still searching - That's the boat I'm looking for. I agree - Best hull Cobalt ever produced. I found a 262 with platform and no arch with a 496Mag. Itching to go look at it.

Re: WTB 2000-2007 Cobalt 262/263
Sharp Boat. I'm interested in purchasing a 262 with the extended platform and stainless arch. Would prefer the Mercury 496HO. This model with those options seems to be a needle in a haystack. I'm not too concerned about what motor setup it has as I would likely repower with a new 8.2 HO Merc Bravo 3 ...

Re: Searching for OEM Cobalt 262/263 Swim Platform
AsLan7 - Where did you leave off on your hunt for these parts? I find it crazy that Cobalt destroyed any schematics of these platforms and stainless arches. I could tell that the parts guy at Cobalt was getting annoyed with me, so I did't press it too hard.

Re: Searching for OEM Cobalt 262/263 Swim Platform
I agree. One of the best hulls Cobalt produced. I’m in Chicago, but willing to search nationwide and would likely ship her if it’s over 500 Miles. Will need trailer, but it’s not a deal breaker. Stainless arch and waterline swim platform a big plus. I’m speaking with a few gentleman that have their ...
