@dudley67 - I still have the original bimini that came with the boat. Fabric is in good shape, no broken poles, but the 2 of 4 straps that hold it down need to be replaced (nothing complicated or expensive). The two straps that tension the bimini itself are in good shape.
Sorry for the late ...

Re: Looking for 2004 Cobalt 240 OEM wake tower bimini
Thanks! I did decide to go a high as possible to give max. headroom (currently - not remotely close to having to duck). However, if I ever wanted tower speakers then I would probably have to hang them off the sides of the wake tower.

Re: Looking for 2004 Cobalt 240 OEM wake tower bimini
Okay the bimini is now all done. The local fabricating company did a great job (turn around in 1 week in July) and added zippers for future expansion for front windshield extension, side and back panels. The expansion capability added some significant cost and he gave me a plastic bag with the other ...

Re: Looking for 2004 Cobalt 240 OEM wake tower bimini
Update.
I went to a custom stainless fabricator just north of Toronto in Barrie and got them to pattern and fabricate a wake tower bimini frame. They used 1" 16 gauge stainless tubing (matched the curve of the windshield) and welded a mounting tab to my existing stainless wake tower. for the brace ...

Re: New Member from 1000 Islands/Lake Ontario
Welcome Johnson! For a second I thought you were a fellow Ontarian, but very close. Very nice boat! I generally boat up north in Ontario's cottage country, but plan to drop into Lake Ontario this summer (but Toronto to Watertown is about 200 miles away
).
Cheers!

Re: Looking for 2004 Cobalt 240 OEM wake tower bimini
Thanks for the suggestion BBP!
Yes, I checked all of the other tower manufacturers and their stock and universal biminis, but none of look like the Cobalt factory tower bimini. I really like the look of the oem one. I have been looking off and on since I got the boat last summer.

Looking for 2004 Cobalt 240 OEM wake tower bimini
I am looking to buy the factory wake tower bimini for a 2004 Cobalt 240. I have only seen it once during my searches for a Cobalt 240 as well as the picture in the 2004 Cobalt owner's manual (pictures attached). I have called local Cobalt dealer and the Cobalt customer support and they basically ...

I work for a Canadian enterprise software company as a director in product management. My team looks after a portfolio of software products and is globally dispersed, so I get to work from home quite a bit and usually travel is not too onerous.

Re: Recall for some MerCruiser engines (Bulletin 2018-05)
Thanks for that information!! If you purchased your Cobalt boat with Mercruiser or VP, can you call respective dealers and get registered with your serial numbers and contact details, so you can receive bulletins in the future? or does this only happen for original owners?
Thanks,

Cobalt factory 240 tower bimini
I have a strapped bimini with a stand alone tube frame and the factory tower on my 2004 Cobalt 240. However, I am really interested in getting my hands on the factory tower bimini that came from Cobalt. See attached pic, of a factory tower bimini (not my boat, but one I almost bought) : this one is ...

By default, SmartCraft Weather cap or Yellow Terminator cap on engine ??
Hi all,
I just bought a 2004 Cobalt with the 496 MAG engine. Does anyone know whether from the factory does the engine's SMARTCRAFT terminal have the grey/black Weather cap (https://www.ebay.com/p/Mercury-Marine-SMARTCRAFT-Can-Weather-Cap-Carver-Boat/6003549764 )
or

Re: Need trailer dimensions for a 220
If you want to get your trailer fitted for your boat once you find one, then you can call Cobalt customer service and they will email you the trailer specifications for your year and model of boat that they send to trailer manufacturers.
