Thanks John, I have reached out to them. I was also hoping for some real-life experience, not just what a manufacture might say.

LiFePo4 Starting battery
So it's time to replace the battery on my 2005 226 with the 350 MAG MPI. I had an exide AGM that lasted 6 years and was mainly used as a starting battery since there was not much use when the engine is shut off. The sucker weighed over 60 lbs and was a major pain to put in and take out. I am looking ...

Re: Bimini wire lanyard
Thanks Aslan. I'll see what I can find on Amazon. Most I've found are too big and none have the same tab.

Re: Bimini wire lanyard
RMW, I ordered them in hopes that they would work. They are way bigger than the ones on my boat and the tab is too big to try to weld on the cap.
Thanks anyway.
Anyone else ever have these break? what did you do?
I was hoping to get more responses than just one.

Bimini wire lanyard
Hello All,
I'm trying to find a source for the wire lanyard that attaches to the pin for the bimini supports. I have one that broke and a few others that need to be replaced. I have someone that can do the stainless welding for me, I'm just having a hard time finding the wire lanyard with the ...

Re: New owner Prosperity, SC
Nice looking 226! We have one on Lake Hartwell and absolutely loce it. We removed the ladder from the upper platform since it is not usable with the extended swim platform. One of my favorite places to sit at the dock is on the extended platform. It is right at the water height, perfect for lounging ...

Re: Outdrive Trim Switch Stopped working
My old Chaparral had a bad trim limit switch but I could use the separate trailer switch to raise the out drive and never replaced the limit switch. After having that boat for so many years I just adjusted the trim by the reaction of the boat and was never worried about trimming too high. Mine would ...

Computers are pretty cheap. Especially compared to the entertainment value alone here.

Re: Gas Burps!
I'm glad it's not something broken on the one hand, but almost wish that it was a simple issue that could be fixed. I guess it's a design flaw. My old boat would spit out of the vent tube, but not the fill port. I added the VesselView app this year and try to make sure I know how much gas I've used ...

Gas Burps!
I know, sounds like and old man problem, butI promise, it's the boat not me! I have to be very carful when I fill up the boat (2004 226) to make sure that the gas doesn't "burp" a couple of cups of gasoline back out the fill port. If I put my ear next to the fill port, I can hear it begin to gurgle ...
