I am installing a new Stereo System, so I needed to install a second battery first. My boat came with 1 battery on the port side, and I am adding the second battery to the starboard side. House battery will be on port side, Starting battery will be on starboard side. I used the Blue Sea Add a Battery kit and a Promariner ProSport 20 Battery Charger. I layed it out on 1/4 inch starboard material (12x27) and drilled my holes. Then I used the starboard material to drill the holes through the fiberglass on the boat. I mounted it to the bulkhead in front of the engine, thru bolted, not screws. I used 100 amp circuit breakers between the batteries and the ACR, so when the boat is in storage or not used very much, I can hit the circuit breakers to disconnect and that will keep from draining the battery via the ACR sensors. I used 4 gauge wire, because my alternator is 75 amps, so Blue Sea recommends 4 gauge wire and 100 amp fuses. I used an inline fuse on the ground wire from the ACR, 10 amp. I have not installed the Charging outlet yet.

Re: Blue Sea Add a Battery and Battery Charger Install
This is so timely for me, I have purchased the second battery, the Add a battery kit and just need to buy some of the wiring and connectors. Thanks for the photos. Looks like a pretty neat job.
