Depth Finder Issues

Post by jboddenjr »

2003 240sd w/5.7merc & B3. I am having issues with the OEM depth finder (beeping all the time with crazy readouts) Its the one with the small rectangular displays and 2 toggle switches. After reading many posts to see what others did to fix their issue, I went and bought the pink antifreeze. Problem is… I CANT FIND THE TRANSDUCER!!! Uggh.
Does anyone out there know where they put it on a 240sd, 240 or similar model? ANYONE GOT PICTURES OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT
WHERE IT MIGHT BE?

Under the engine, non-descript looking cylinder exposure to the bilge?

A7 removed his engine to get at his! Just saying it's right under it.
Pictures coming soon.
The cap is hard to get off but it only turns about a 1/4 of a turn and it comes off. Starboard side under the engine.
