My new mooring cover arrived!

Post by Snowman8 »

I ordered a Commercial Sewing mooring cover from my dealer this spring and it finally arrived last week. It fits exceptionally well and it even fits my EZ fold bimini. I asked my dealer to order it for the EZ fold bimini but I wasn’t sure if it would or not. Last year I emailed Commercial Sewing and they told me that they did not make the cover to fit, apparently they do now. I was going to order it weather it fit or not, if it didn’t fit I was going to have a canvas shop alter it. I put it on this morning and took the boat down to the river today and the cover doesn’t flap or wiggle at all! Great product that is made in the USA!

Looks exactly like my Cobalt factory cover. Is Commercial Sewing the OEM manufacturer for Cobalt?

I hope it looks the same, yes Commercial Sewing makes the OEM cover. Reasonably priced too, it was half the cost of what I was quoted to have one made for my boat.

That looks excellent. Curious, what did it set you back? Similarly priced to factory cover?

$1600 with tax and shipping. I had a quote of $2800 to make a custom one with a cheaper fabric. By the time I upgraded the custom made one to Sunbrella it was double the price of this one, and they only wanted to build it with straps that ran down to my trailer.

Nice. Looks great! If I can solve my vibration issue I’ll consider this cover.

Works as a great floating boat anchor. Maybe I just need to figure out how to turn it into my non mobile floating office like yours BBP!
