Did they use 6mm for under swim step when it folds up. Does folded step sit flat? Want to do the same for mine.

The transom WalkThru is one of my two favorite things about the SeaDek install. Our previous Cobalt 240 had a separate hatch in the WalkThru which was not part of the engine hatch and which you could open to access ski vests. The engine hatch was smaller than the R5’s and opened separately. Much more convenient, but not as sturdy overall as the R5.

Tied for favorite is the TWO piece bow section. No more having to unsnap the carpet over the ski locker and having it whip around underway when your First Mate forgot to snap it back.

6mm under the Swim Step. Pattern is called Pinline. Did that to contrast with the Teak pattern for safety. Can’t tell you how many times someone stumbled when stepping in the cutout with the Swim Step deployed.
The step is fairly flush when stowed, it’s always stood up a bit “proud” of the platform.
